Institutionalisation of Combat Experience: Conference on Lessons Learned in a Dynamic Defence Environment

The effectiveness of armed forces is determined not only by the capacity to conduct combat operations, but by the institutional ability to systematically transform operational experience into doctrinal change. In an environment of unprecedented operational tempo, the institutionalisation of Lessons Learned processes has become a critical factor in the adaptation of the Defence Forces.

Boryviter served as the organiser and facilitator, bringing together representatives from the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ministry of Strategic Industries, the NATO Representation in Ukraine, NATO JALLC, SAG-U, the Embassies of the United States and the Republic of Lithuania, defence attaches from partner nations, and representatives of the Azov Brigade and other military formations.

Participants addressed the development of analytical capabilities within the Defence Forces, the application of LL methodology across combat tactics, weapons and military equipment, tactical medicine, and robotic and uncrewed systems. A dedicated focus was placed on Alliance partner experience and the identification of prospective levels of cooperation to strengthen Ukraine's institutional capacity in Lessons Learned.
