Line of Effort 5 Capability Building

Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO) (EMSO)

Dominating the contested spectrum with resilient architectures for EW, SIGINT, and secure communications.

Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO)

The Operational Challenge

The electromagnetic spectrum is the invisible front line of modern warfare. Unsecured communications or detectable electronic signatures inevitably invite rapid kinetic strikes. Operating a multitude of uncrewed and communication systems without stringent spectrum deconfliction guarantees fratricide and mission failure. Dominating this domain is no longer an optional advantage; it is a fundamental prerequisite for survival.

Building the Capability

Boryviter's EMSO division is led by a highly specialised team of combat-experienced radio engineers, physicists, and former state communications specialists. We transform complex radio-physics into practical, life-saving battlefield architectures. We deliver deep, engineering-level preparation for brigade and battalion S6 officers, equipping them to maintain secure command and control while denying the same to the adversary.

Core Domains of Expertise

Implementation across multidomain environments

5.1

Communications

Engineering and administrating resilient battlefield networks, including Digital Mobile Radio (DMR), IP networks, radio hardware measurement equipment, and satellite systems under severe jamming conditions.

5.2

SIGINT and Spectrum Monitoring

Conducting Electronic Intelligence (ELINT) and Communications Intelligence (COMINT), specialising in the interception of voice communications and drone telemetry.

5.3

EW and Countermeasures

Deploying offensive and defensive Electronic Warfare tactics, including classical jamming, protocol-level attacks exploiting communication vulnerabilities, and PNT spoofing.

Impact

Operational Integration of Spectrum Technologies

By training specialist personnel, we help integrate diverse communications, electronic warfare, and signals intelligence solutions from Ukrainian manufacturers and partner organisations into military use.

Boryviter trains specialists not only to operate individual communications, electronic warfare, and signals intelligence systems, but to combine them into a single functional architecture. Through this preparation, units gain the ability to integrate both modern and legacy solutions from Ukrainian manufacturers and partner organisations more rapidly into their own command, sensing, countermeasure, and coordination structures. This turns otherwise fragmented technical systems into a coherent capability suited to dynamic and contested electromagnetic environments.
